Hook Me Up
Let’s face it, none of these ‘executive stress relief’ toys
actually work. Why would playing miniature snooker on a miniature snooker table
be a calming and pleasurable experience? We all know the only way to soothe
that wild, unappreciated and unloved beast within is…by going fishing.
Nothing penetrates our rock hard, stressed out little souls more than reclining
on the riverbank, cool-box full of beers. With the Gerber FliK Fish, you can
ensure your day will go a lot smoother thanks to its arsenal of powerful tools.
From the long needle-nose pliers (with crimpers and pinch cutters for cutting
hooks and easy hook removal) to the scissors that can cut a 150lb fishing line,
this is a serious piece of kit for the man that puts a lot of effort into his
leisure time.

It’s A Kinda Magic
Those of you (and there were many) who were disappointed with their first Android
offering - The Dream, will be please to know that HTC have significantly upped
their game by ironing out previous flaws and introducing great new concepts into
the HTC Magic. The cumbersome and hard-to-use slide-out keyboard has gone, replaced
with a slicker touch-screen alternative. That has not only made it easier to
use but also means that aesthetically it looks prettier, and is also much smaller
and much lighter. The interface is much easier to navigate, especially for those
new to Android. Heralded as a serious rival to the iPhone, it can certainly give
Apple’s baby a run for its money and compared to its flawed sibling works
like a dream.

Stick It Into Overdrive
Most of us are familiar with automatic gears in a car: just put your foot on
the accelerator and the engine picks the best gear depending on the revs. Well,
the new Ryobi AutoShift works in a similar fashion. Instead of having to manually
change your gears for a particular job, this clever ‘robot’ drill
will think for itself and choose the most suitable for you. Another bonus is
that this drill is part of Ryobi’s One Plus system, making it compatible
with a number of batteries, including their uber-powerful Lithium-Ion battery.
