This
Welsh production company has been slowly garnering notice in the film world
since Michael McMahon’s critically acclaimed short, South Side, had its
international premiere at Cannes in 2003. The gritty comedy drama went on to
win Best Picture at the Pictures at the Piano Film Festival that November and
made the official selection for the prestigious LA Short Film Festival in 2004.
Today 11:22 have a fair few exciting projects in the pipeline. McMahon is marking
himself out as a real contender following his latest short, the mystical fantasy
HAWK, in which he teamed up with producers Sean McArdell and Matt Jones. It
met a good reception at Cannes 2006 and marks another step on the ladder towards
full-length features for the independent filmmaker. 11:22 has also optioned
our very own Matthew David Scott’s Dylan Thomas Prize listed novel Playing
Mercy for a TV Drama to be filmed in North Wales. Watch this space. (www.1122entertainment.com)
